This research project aimed to help Satori Health decide on which problems to solve with their app, how to prioritize features and understand the problems that their patients are facing.
Planning and Approach
Satori Health is a healthcare company looking to change Alberta’s healthcare by providing modern and efficient care without compromising on quality.
Ruthless Insights was hired to assist them in this pursuit of efficiency by helping them create an app based on the real needs of their patients.
We chose a mixed methods approach to first understand the core of the problem and then the scope.
Data collection
The process began with in-depth interviews with patients and healthcare providers, uncovering key insights into user experiences and expectations.
Building on these findings, a detailed survey was administered to a broader audience, validating initial observations and identifying prevalent trends. This dual approach enabled the prioritization of features that align with user requirements, ensuring that Satori Health's services are both user-centric and effective.
Analysis
Data was analyzed with various mixed methods analysis procedures. Interviews were analyzed according to the Ground Theory Analysis, while for the surveys inferential and descriptive statistics was used to analyze data.
Findings and recommendations
Core Needs: Users were craving efficiency both in the process of diagnosis, treatment and follow up.
Market Gaps: Health care is traditional and there is a lot of room for improvement. A carefully crafted system should improve efficiency of all aspects of health care.
Impact
Based on these insights, Satori Health went on to create their own health care app which is still in development.
