Ruthless Insights' approach encompassed both exploratory and evaluative research methods, uncovering market gaps and user needs within the adult role-play gaming space. This comprehensive understanding informed the evolution from NaughtyNights to UncoverMe, aligning with user needs and enhancing trust and enjoyment within relationships. Additionally, iterative user testing refined both the website and gaming experience and maximized the game's positive impact.

Planning and Approach

This project was based on a desire to enhance trust an enable people to explore themselves and their relationships through adult role-playing scenarios.

Stakeholders understood that trust and relationships in general are a very complex area and gave Ruthless Insights full trust and freedom to explore the field and come back with solutions.

Data collection

Ruthless Insights conducted both exploratory and evaluative research to comprehensively understand the landscape of adult role-play games. Initially, interviews with participants engaged in adult role-play provided foundational insights. Subsequently, a comprehensive market research survey confirmed core user needs for communication, fun, and trust-building within these games. Additionally, competitive research highlighted deficiencies in existing games, revealing complexities and incompatibility with users' busy family lives.

To optimize user experience and conversion rates, Ruthless Insights conducted two rounds of website user testing, refining the platform for increased conversion. Additionally, two rounds of game user testing were conducted to enhance the gaming experience and amplify its positive impact on relationships.

Analysis

Data was analyzed with various mixed methods analysis procedures. Interviews were analyzed according to the Ground Theory Analysis, while for the surveys inferential and descriptive statistics was used to analyze data.

Findings and recommendations

Core Needs: Users sought communication, enjoyment, and trust-building experiences within adult role-play games. Sexual experiences were seen as an extension of trust and communication.

Market Gaps: Existing games were found to be complex, hard to follow, and unsuitable for users' lifestyles, presenting an opportunity for innovation.

Impact

Based on these insights, Ruthless Insights spearheaded the development of NaughtyNights, aiming to gamify the experience and cater to users' fundamental needs. The platform offered an engaging space for communication, fun, and trust-building.

NaughtyNights served as the initial iteration, evolving into UncoverMe by Reviive. The transformation shifted focus from a purely sexual connotation to emphasizing trust-building and enjoyment within relationships.

UncoverMe's launch saw positive user feedback, reporting enhanced trust and enjoyment in relationships. The game effectively addressed the core needs identified during the exploratory phase.
